Kata Isaiah

Isaiah, Chapters 40 to 66, in English Verse

Six hundred and sixty nine verses of English poetry
which scrupulously follows the original.

Such is the potency of the prophecy of the son of Amoz that it is as relevant today as when it was written over 2,500 years ago.

646. Before her travail, brought she forth;
before she felt a pang -
a man-child she delivered: Who
hath heard of such a thing ?

 647.  Who’s seen a thing like this, before ?
Doth earth bear in a day ?
Are nations brought forth ‘fore sunset ?
Works anything this way ?

648. Soon as she travailed, Zi’on brought forth
her sons; now saith the LORD,
shall I bring to the birth and not
deliverance afford ?
