Faith and Science

By faith, we understand . . .  . says the apostle.
Without faith, we shall not understand anything;
data shall merely pile upon data to no purpose.

He that cometh unto God must believe, says the
apostle. Without faith, we shall never find him.

Without faith, says the apostle, it is impossible
to please God. he is not pleased with anything
other than a believing approach.

In this book is the transcript of the lecture, Faith
and Science, given in Upton Memorial Hall; the
first section, The Trees from the Ground, from
the book, Knowledge and Life; and some added
thoughts on some of the Mysteries of Creation;
together with a personal account of 'Science in
the Workplace.
